Xenia Beliayeva's great ability to combine dark wave and pop elements with a club techno feeling on the one hand and songwriting on the other gets perfectly introduced by the first single off her upcoming album "Ever Since" on Shitkatapult.
This title track is a raw and clean, pop and mean track and song. The 12" club vinyl includes the wonderful original plus a great variety of awesome remixes:
Xenia's co-producer and Hamburg studio maniac André Winter adds a special tripping magic, while the young Spanish talent Ezequiel Sanchez delivers a cool basic tech house remix.
The most outstanding remix comes from the crazy buttheads Detroit Grand Pubahs. Their broken club mix sticks to the pop veine of the track as well as it emphasizes the dark side of Xenia's aesthetics and turns it into some great fun.
